Founded in 2007, Axio Power aims to accelerate the adoption of utility scale solar in North America and will develop, build, own, and operate a fleet of solar assets in North America. Axio Power has a strong track record in both solar and wind development, dating back to 2001 and developed over 7 MW of solar PV for onsite customers in the US, including federal, state, and corporate organizations. In Ontario, Canada, Axio Power was awarded nine 10 MW contracts under the Ontario Power Authority”s (OPA) Feed in Tariff (FiT) program, and is currently developing those. This represents over $400 million in development in Ontario. Five more projects, for 50 MW is awaiting ECT, or the OPA”s Economic connection Test.
